We're traveling to Kansas City for my two god-daughters' baptism. Totally nervous about flying with the babe. I have vivid images of him totally freaking out, doing that hysterical screeching where he can't catch his breath because his ears hurt and I can't do anything about it but cry right along with him. It's one thing for him to cry because he's mad; it's another all together when he is in pain. There is nothing that can make you feel incompetent faster than a child who cannot tell you what's wrong and is doing the patented "I'm Hurt - Cry". Ugh.
You would think that with all of the info on the web, it would be easy to get some great tips on flying with a baby. Basically, all that I could come up with was to make sure that your little one is taking a bottle, taking the binkie or nursing during take-off and landing. Okay, but what about the time IN-BETWEEN taking off and landing?? I'm stumped. How can there not be a bigger collection on these kinds of things ... for the love! There are about a million women's websites and no one has thought of the flying "in-between" time?! So frustrating.
