Oh boy - last week's post makes me laugh. I did have the phone conversation but my girlfriend had to duck out early because HER little ones needed some mommy time. LOL! At least this time, it wasn't me. I also had the wine but sans bath and had a nice dinner with my husband that I actually made although I can't remember what we talked about because like always, I'm ready to fall asleep during dinner. So, although not exactly what I had planned, in my world, I still did okay overall.
Yesterday I went with my boss into the city to meet with (drum roll please) Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia! Uh... yeah! Martha Stewart! Pinch me, please!
Now, I don't know about you but I have grown into myself with this woman - starting out with the Weddings magazine (way before I was engaged, I have to admit!) and giving Living a shot before realizing that although I WISH that I a) was that creative and b) had that kind of time, I however, am not and do not so I have settled into the newer publication, Body + Soul. Totally happy there. So, I was super excited to go and meet with their creative team. You can never have too many magazines to read. Seriously.
First off, the building... amazing and everything that you would expect from Martha Stewart. Totally hip, bright and functional space with the most amazing view of the Hudson. All of the creative teams (Macy's line, Kmart line, housing, paint, you name it!) were neck deep in the most gorgeous textiles, color palates and artwork. You could seriously feel the creative juices flowing! I was super impressed.
The best part of it all - the team that we met with was really into teaming up with Wyndham Worldwide and WOMEN ON THEIR WAY in our quest to make planning and booking travel, easier, more fun and more rewarding for women of all ages. What an amazing partnership that would be. Talk about a "Good Thing"!
