This Mom's "Nite Out"

Moms Nite Out button.jpgMother's Day is a great concept. However, how many of us actually spend that Sunday relaxing or doing something entirely for ourselves? My Mother's Day consists of me doing something for my mom, step-mother, mother-in-law, grandmothers and of course, I want to spend time with the wee one. So where exactly am I supposed to fit in "me time"?

Seems that many moms are feeling the same way about good old Mother's Day.

In Honor of WOTW's Mother's Day Celebration

Honor of Moms.jpgI believe that people come into your life for a reason. It may be that you gain a lifelong friend or that person may only be in your life for mere moments ... but I think that people come into our lives to teach us lessons, to help us grow and to encourage us to do better, give more and think past ourselves.

I've had so many women that I consider mentors come into my life and for that I am grateful this Mother's Day.

The Dress, The Flowers and The Assistant

One of the goals of the Women on Their Way website is to provide women with the tools and information that they need to make planning time with their families easy and fun. We recently partnered up with Wedding Wire and have just launched some really cool tools to help brides-to-be take some of the stress out of planning their big event.

Giving Birth to Baby 2.0

The launch of the Women on Their Way online community was a long time coming and I am just so excited that it's finally here! I really hope that women start to view this website as a resource for exploring ideas on new places to go, fun things to do and ways to reconnect with their loved ones. As the community continues to grow, we can really start to have some great conversations on the site. Good stuff!

Women on Their Way is a really big project for me - I almost feel like I've given birth to "Baby 2.0" ... but now that the community is launched, it's almost time to focus on the new life that will be coming into mine in just mere weeks. Working Moms - I am reaching out to you!

0% Flexibility

Zero Flexibility.jpgThe weekdays in my house run smoothly (pre-baby #2, that is!) because we are on such a tight schedule and have a list of things to do before leaving the house every morning. I have never been much of a "routine person" before having a child, but now that I've got someone else that I'm responsible for, I have found that the daily routine is a lifesaver for me.
