There is nothing better than escaping reality with a book. I don't get to read as much as I used to, with a (gulp!) almost-two year old running around but whenever I get the chance, I snuggle up on the couch with my favorite blanket and the latest novel.
I find the bookstore to be a relaxing place - my husband and I will take the wee one together on the weekends so that one of us can hang in the kid's section while the little one plays with the Thomas set up that they have there and the other will peruse the bookshelves for the latest find.
Lately however, I have not been able to find much that interests me that I haven't already read. So frustrating! In steps the Women on Their Way Book Club. One of the new message board topics is "Book Club" - a place to go to recommend good reads and to discuss current books that you're into.
With my maternity leave (and those long nursing sessions) and summer vacation season within view, I'm in need of some good recs! What's on your nightstand right now? Anything that the rest of us should be checking out?
