Travelling with my parents and my grandchildren to the beach is a fun experience. I have to make sure I find a place on the beach so no one has to cross the street to swim, a place on the ground floor as my parents don't like elevators, enough room so the great-grandparents and grandchildren can "take a break" from each other. With my grandchildren, I have to make sure they have packed enough clothes and enough toys to play with to keep them occupied. With my parents, I have to make sure that they have packed enough clothes, all their meds and enough toys to keep them occupied! Both my parents and my grandchildren have to eat early so that they can get to bed at a decent hour and wake up at the crack of dawn! My parents don't want to sightsee. My grandchildren LOVE sightseeing. My mom LOVES shopping, the grandchildren don't (unless it's toys for them!). My dad LOVES watching sports on TV, my grandchildren don't. Both of my parents LOVE peace and quiet. My grandchildren don't even know the meanings of the words! I usually need a week to rest after a week at the beach with parents and grandchildren!
