This doesn't really have anything to do with a destination wedding, but my wedding day is fast approaching (weeks away) and I am curious as to whether or not trading gifts with my bride is still 'the norm' on wedding day, or is this just old tradition. Any clarification or dynamite gift ideas would be appreciated. :-)
Cheers,
Andy

Having just celebrated my 13th anniversary, I do not know if I am qualified to comment on the current norm, but dh and I did exchange wedding gifts. But mine was bought on our honeymoon thus enabling me to have a very special momento of that trip. Of course, it helps that we were going to Tahiti so I wanted a black pearl. So if your honeymoon will be anywhere known for some gem or jewelry style, etc., that's always a lovely option. FWIW, I gave dh a gold watch, so very traditional and boring gift.
