Do you have plans to get away this summer? If so, where are you going? How long are you staying? Bringing the kids? Flying or driving??
DH and I decided we would take some time off in July and drive to the Jersey shore this summer. Staying budget conscious we are going to stay with another couple that we are close friends with. I am super excited to have a few days to lounge on the beach, fish, build campfires and most importantly just relax!!

We are staying in the beautiful UK for our summer holiday this year. Swapping the hills and dales of the North for the rugged coastline of the South in Devon and Cornwall. We will be staying with family so that keeps costs to a minimum and an opportunity to spend a week with them.
DH, DS (age 3) and I will be driving the 350 miles to Devon in 2 weeks time and I am so excited. A much needed break for us and my litle one will love playing on the beach all day!
Fingers crossed that the good old british weather is in our favour!
Hope you all have a wonderful summer holiday.

I want to make a trip to the English Lake Country. Have you been there? Where would you suggest to stay? How is the best way to get there?

Hi Sylvia, I live in Yorkshire about an 1 1/2 hours drive from the Lake District. Lake Windermere is probably the most propular of the Lakes to visit and the other lakes are all very close by and equally as beautiful.
At Lake windermere there are lots of hotels and bed and breakfasts in the area and of course we have lots of holiday cottages available for rent in the area also.
The best way to get to the area would be to fly to either Leeds/Bradford (closest) or Manchester airport then hire a car and drive as you will probably need a car when you are there in order to make the most of the the Lake District.
If I can help anymore just let me know.
