Ever since I can remember, I have been fascinated with flight landing patterns. This fascination began as a child in the car with my dad running errands and has continued without pause. I didn't know it would translate into a career of travel and adventure. I've been the youngest, I've been the first, I've been the only woman in the room on many occasions. As I was moving up in my career there weren't that many models to follow. For me that was lucky since I was going to find my own path anyway.
As traveler-in-chief of Woman Road Warrior.com I spend a lot of time listening to women business travelers and cataloguing their needs, wants, complaints and favorites. I like to help them learn how to speak up for themselves, be heard, and get what they want. I offer tips and tools on how to strategize, negotiate and cash in order to get where you need to go and to get the biggest return on travel.
For more than twenty years I have traveled almost every week. First as a consultant for DeLoitte and later as CIO at the Tribune Company and now as head of the Ameche Group LLC as well as wife, step-mom, entrepreneur travel accessory designer, Aunt and Grandmother.
I love speaking to and mentoring young women in business as well working with the Girl Scouts in Chicago. Women are traveling in huge numbers and influencing the travel decisions of their families and friends.
Hear, here - what a great opportunity for women travelers to be heard.
