Originally from Alabama, it was while living in New York City, that Koren came to a harsh realization: in order to have all of the things that she wanted from life-the career, the family, the beautiful home-she needed to get off the hamster wheel and find balance. To that end, she began researching how other lawyers and highly educated women were balancing the demands of career, motherhood, and romance. She also spent some time getting to know herself and discovering her unique passions and gifts.

This year marks the last year of her 20s and Koren intends to spend it doing all things she loves (e.g. travel, boys, wine) and less time being afraid to venture off the beaten path.

Koren's writing and advice on lifestyle, dating and relationships has been featured in Essence magazine and on popular blogs such as abelleinbrooklyn.com and stayonthego.com. She is also a regular guest on broadcast radio and has appeared on television.

When not dashing in and out of airports or up and down the interstate, Koren can be found chronicling the last year of her 20s over at Honey Magazine, or rambling as per usual on her blog, My Legal Belle.

She holds a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and attended Florida A&M University as an undergraduate.
