Laura Martier is currently executive director for Dare County Arts Council, a non-profit arts organization on the Outer Banks of North Carolina where she lives with her musician husband, Dan and the family cat, Weenie. She is also widely known as a versatile and talented vocalist and recording artist who travels the east coast performing with some of the regions finest jazz musicians. A recent "empty nester", Laura is able to spend more time cultivating other passions including guitar playing, health and wellness and traveling. On a recent two month solo, soul-searching journey in Costa Rica, Laura rediscovered her love for writing and chronicled her journey daily through her blog A Songbird Must Sing.
