Ubah Khasimuddin

State/Province: AZ
Country: United States

Profile:
Raised in a household where two cultures lived side by side, Ubah Khasimuddin has always led a rich life. Born to Indian immigrants in New Jersey, Ubah straddled both of her heritages (India and America), never really belonging to either and considers herself a modern day gypsy.

As a teenager, Ubah wrote a weekly column on her observations on life as a hyphenated American (Indian-American) for The Manassas Sun-Journal. This began a lifelong love of writing.

Ubah graduated from Mary Baldwin College Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Communications. Prior to starting graduate school at Virginia Commonwealth University for a Masters in Business Administration, Ubah worked for US Airways for five and a half years. During that time she traveled every continent except Antarctica (though it is on her list). Some of the best memories include trips to South Africa, New Zealand and Argentina, though her favorite city remains London. For four months in 2008, Ubah lived in Copenhagen, Denmark and marks it as the best experience in her life so far. In her free time, Ubah, a natural extrovert, besides traveling, enjoys reading (historical fiction and chick lit!), dancing and writing.
