Traveling with your pet can be a lot of fun, just as long as you are prepared. Whether you are traveling by plane or car be sure to check with your veterinarian first to ensure your pet is in good shape for the trip and do some research for a smooth ride. Be sure to check in advance with your airline to make sure they allow pet travel and what specific regulations are for travel with pets. A few steps you should take before air travel include; micro chipping your pet if they don't already have one and getting a vet exam within 10 days of your trip and a certificate of health issued.
When traveling with pets by car make sure you plan to stop every 3-5 hours to help your pet stretch their legs, relieve themselves and grab a drink.
