Chicago Halloween Events
Are you ready to explore Chicago, the vibrant city soaked in history and heritage? Now is a great time to visit the Chicagoland area as the call of the Halloween season is ringing! The Windy City will soon be occupied by super heroes and monsters, and filled by entertaining festivals, shows, and parties after dark. Don't be afraid about trying to find the events you want to attend, as we have selected a series of fun activities around Chicago. Whether you are visiting friends or planning a family vacation, check out the following events. You are sure to find fascinating Halloween events that are as entertaining for the young ones as they are the entire family.
If you are looking for Halloween fun, Daley Plaza is the place to be. From Oct. 28-30, Daley Plaza becomes Franken Plaza. Stroll around the arts and crafts market; excite the kids with storytelling sections; and gear up to be amazed by the wickedly wonderful acrobats of Chicago's one and only Midnight Circus. Admission is free. Check out the 3-day schedule here, and enjoy all the fun at one spot.
Take the kids to the Spooky Zoo Spectacular at the Lincoln Park Zoo. Stimulate the young ones with trick-or-treating, a costume parade, haunted houses, and more fun stuff while discovering the different side of animals at night. This is a family friendly event that runs all day on Oct. 22. Admission is free.
If the preceding events are not scary enough for you, check out the haunted house tours in Chicago. There is a haunted Segway tour of Chicago that introduces some of Chicago's most haunted spots such as Fort Dearborn, the Iroquois Theatre, and the past home of Al Capone's haunted yacht. If you dare, join the haunted tours of historic Prairie Avenue and hear the tales about the mysterious death of Marshall Field Jr.
Also, don't miss out on a classic pumpkin-carving party at The Boundry. Design your own jack-o-lanterns, enjoy pumpkin martinis and have a little not-so-scary-fun during the Halloween season.
