Wyndham Wisdom
Memorable Experiences
A gentleman calls to tell me he wants to renew his wedding vows with his wife of 10 years, and the entire thing is a surprise to her. He wanted to include his 3 children but he wanted to spend some romantic time with his wife. As the planning unfolded, we came up with some interesting solutions. For the ceremony, we selected the semi-secluded area of the beach, which they would come upon while taking a stroll, surprising the bride when he led her to the area. Champagne and apple cider (kids) sat chilling on ice as we waited for the sun to come up. Instead of capturing the memories at sunset as most people want, he wanted it to be at sunrise because it was going to be a new beginning. It was all very romantic. Afterwards, the 3 children went off to the kids-club for a day full of activities while the newly remarried couple spent some time together. The day ended (at least where we were involved) with a romantic dinner for two at Palio's surrounded by the soft melodies of a live pianist.
The couple to marry wanted their wedding to be untraditional, fun and al fresco. Because they did not want to follow tradition, they reversed the order of a standard wedding. The ceremony followed the reception and the guests were all dressed in white. During the reception, the couple mingled and laughed. At approximately 20 minutes prior to the event ending time, the couple and guests all moved to the beach for a night-time ceremony with only the moon lighting the way. After the ceremony, guests gathered around the untraditional wedding cake and watched as the couple cut into a miniature-sized wedding cake. The rest of the wedding cake, presented in individualized boxes stacked tier style, was given to each guest. To go along with the cake, the guests received a miniature bottle of champagne to toast the happy couple or take home if they wished.
